A major U.S. utility embarked on a multi-phase modernization of its Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) to enhance grid operations while preserving core capabilities, including SCADA, the network model, and advanced applications. The initiative included three interconnected projects: an ADMS platform upgrade, implementation of a new Outage Management System (OMS) with Switching Management and Field Client capabilities, and integration of a fire mitigation application. The utility needed a trusted partner that could provide seamless system integration while ensuring employees were prepared to adopt and sustain new technologies.

For the ADMS upgrade, Mosaic supported the transition to the new platform while preserving existing SCADA, network model, and advanced application functionality ahead of the planned October 2025 deployment. For the OMS initiative, Mosaic guided the implementation of OMS, Switching Management, and Field Client capabilities while helping the utility transition away from its legacy outage management solution and modernize supporting operational processes.
Mosaic also led the integration of a fire mitigation application designed to strengthen wildfire risk management and operational decision-making. Across each project, the team delivered system integration, testing support, change management, documentation, and role-based training aligned to key milestones. This coordinated approach reduced organizational complexity, streamlined workflows, improved data consistency across operations, and positioned employees to successfully adopt and leverage new capabilities.
