RENTON, WA — Mosaic today announced a partnership with Esri, the global leader in geographic information system (GIS) technology. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing knowledge, strengthening technical practices, and supporting utilities as they navigate evolving grid modernization initiatives.
As utilities adopt ArcGIS Utility Network and pursue increasingly integrated operational environments, accurate network representation and effective data governance have become foundational to reliable planning and operations. Through this partnership, Mosaic and Esri will collaborate to promote best practices, foster industry dialogue, and share practical insight that helps utilities operationalize GIS data across critical systems such as Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS).
The partnership creates opportunities for joint learning and engagement across the utility community, including participation in user groups, conferences, technical forums, and thought leadership initiatives. By combining Mosaic’s deep experience in utility operations with Esri’s GIS platform expertise, the organizations aim to strengthen understanding of network modeling approaches, data stewardship, and system interoperability.
“Esri provides the foundational system of record that utilities rely on to represent their networks,” said Kyle Comstock, Senior Vice President of Grid Modernization at Mosaic. “Our collaboration centers on helping organizations translate that geospatial foundation into operational reality, ensuring network models can be trusted and applied across planning, operations, and customer outcomes.”
